Barringtons bazaar

Wednesday, December 8 – a public holiday – is the date for just about the biggest Bazaar in the Algarve, at Barringtons in Vale do Lobo. Open to the public between 11am and 6pm, there’s lots of time to browse, eat, drink, select, bargain and get all your Christmas goodies under one roof.

All your favourites will be selling their delectable goods again – from wonderful puddings at Sweet Marilyn’s to yummy chutneys at Joanne’s, gingerbread houses to fascinating Greek foods – you can even buy your Christmas drinks from a superb selection from WineMine. There will be masses of lovely Christmas decorations for the house, tree and table, as well as items to really spice up Christmas 2004. A huge variety of clothes, bags, throws and jewellery from local designers to Tommy Hilfiger will tempt the ladies, and a wide selection of art, ceramics and books will appeal to the chaps. Throw in toys, kites, puppets and other wonderful things for children and Barringtons Bazaar becomes the place for all your Christmas shopping. You can even choose an abandoned puppy on this day and give it a good home – although remember, a puppy is for life.

New this year are children’s activities throughout the day, including football, kids dance, golf and a crèche for children up to five years old, so adults can shop til they drop. And you can take a break with a tasty snack or lunch, a glass of mulled wine or fresh fruit juice when you need to rest your feet. Entrance is free, so bring your family and friends and get all your shopping done in one fell swoop at Barringtons Christmas Bazaar.
