Barnacles delight 6.000 visitors

Approximately 6,000 people visited Vila do Bispo’s barnacles festival (Festival do Perceve), which took place between August 23-25 at the S.Vicente school, and washailed a success. The star of the show was, of course, the ‘perceve’ or goose barnacle, which is widely appreciated across the Iberian Peninsula.

Mussels, crab, octopus and cuttlefish were also among the vast selection of the sea delights which showed off the best the municipality has to offer in terms of gastronomy.
