THIEVES BROKE into BAR 101, above Kiss FM in Albufeira, last Monday night (March 5) and stole between 15,000 and 20,000 euros worth of items.
Allegedly, the thieves accessed the bar via a ceiling panel and made off with three saxophones, two mobile phones, a laptop and a clarinet. No money was stolen.
The front door was wide open when Jeff and Dawn Dempsey, who run the bar, arrived for work the following morning. After filing a police report, they installed an alarm system, added a lock to the door and blocked off the ceiling.
They are offering a reward for the safe return of the saxophones, which have a combined value of around 14,700 euros.
