The Baptista Cafeteria is back under the supermarket’s management and has a revamped esplanade.
One of the things Baptista’s customers appreciate about the family supermarket is that, aside from being able to do their shopping in a place that has a selection of extremely high-quality products, they can also enjoy coffee, satisfying snacks and light meals at the Baptista Cafetaria. In September 2021, Baptista Supermarket once again took over managing the Cafeteria, and one of the great news is that the outdoor area has been completely renovated. Every day, the team selects the freshest pastries which, together with Portuguese coffee with the perfect texture, puts Baptista at the top of the list of most residents and visitors in Praia da Luz and beyond.
In addition to breakfast options or morning snacks, the Cafeteria also serves delicious light meals such as toasties, soups and salads. There is also a different dish for lunch every day, perfect for those who want something a bit more substantial.
The team, made up of manager Adriana and team members Cristiana, Reda and João, start work at 8am, when the irresistible smell of coffee starts to wake everyone up, and they take pride in the quality of the products, fresh and selected to represent the best of the Algarve regional pastries. And, above all, they ensure a top-tier service and friendliness.
For those visiting Baptista without a shopping list, you can take the opportunity to enjoy a coffee and a pastel de nata (custard tart) on the esplanade whilst you ponder over what to add to your shopping cart. During the holidays, the team at Baptista Cafetaria presented to its customers some typical sweets of that season, a moment when they could be inspired before going home to prepare their sweets table and Christmas dinner. Honey fritters, sweet potato fritters and other traditional sweets with shapes alluding to Christmas where in the window of the cafeteria all throughout December, in honour of the sweetest month of the year.
