Banks and insurers can no longer ‘discriminate’ against people who have recovered from serious illnesses

President Marcelo has rubber-stamped the diploma that makes it illegal for banks and insurance companies to discriminate against people who have recovered from serious diseases, such as cancer.

His promulgation means the new law will come into effect from January 1, 2022.
