Faro was the only district in Portugal to see its number of business bankruptcies increase (+47%) in the first half of 2017, according to the ‘COSEC Dinâmica Empresarial’ study.
Data shows that 75 Algarve business insolvencies were registered in the first six months of the year, up from last year’s 51.
On a national level, however, bankruptcies are down 22%.
