Subway crash injures 100
More than 100 people have been injured in a crash on Bangkok’s five-month-old underground railway. An empty train collided with a train carrying 700 passengers at the Thai Cultural Centre station. The driver of the empty train, which slid out of a repair depot and joined the busy track, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Thai Transport Minister, Suriya Jungrungreangkit, announced that all services on the subway route were suspended following the collision.
