Members of the Balaia Bowls Club welcomed Quorn Mills Park Bowling Club on Wednesday, January 25. A hotly contested game took place, with Balaia winning two rinks, one drawn and one lost. Drinks were held in the warm sunshine afterwards.
After beautiful sunny weather, Thursday, January 26 saw the start of some rain for the second leg of the Super 10’s Competition held at CATS home ground. The weather went from bad to worse and the game was conceded by Balaia.
Saturday, January 28, Balaia Bowls Club played their Bowls Algarve League Week 18 matches. The PODS Team lost all three rinks at home against Albufeira CATS, whilst the Whalers played away against Tavira Tigers, winning one rink. This maintains the PODS in 14th place in the League, and Whalers move down to 10th place.
Balaia welcomes bowlers of all levels. It has its roll up on Tuesdays and Fridays at 9.45am for 10am start.
