The Balaia Bowls Club, situated within the grounds of Balaia Golf Village, has donated €1,000 for the purchase of tablets for Albufeira’s firefighters.
The tablets will be installed in the fire station’s vehicles and are equipped with many “specific applications and database” to help firefighters in their rescue operations.
Some of the applications can provide information on exact geographical locations, the equipment required, guidelines on how to deal with dangerous materials and triage requirements.
In a statement, the Albufeira firefighters say the equipment “will enhance the quick and efficient service that is provided daily” and express their gratitude for the “continued support from the Balaia Bowls Club”.
