Registration is now open for evening Badminton sessions beginning in October, from 7pm to 10pm, at the Luso Football Club in Barreiro, south of Lisbon.
The sessions are part of the ‘Projecto Badminton Barreiro 05/06’, directed at both sexes aged from seven years, and have come about thanks to a group of badminton enthusiasts who have been playing their favourite sport for some years in the area. Due to the lack of facilities for the sport, it has almost disappeared; however, it is hoped the numbers playing badminton will increase this year. The project also aims to enrich the sports activities available in Barreiro. Information can be obtained from the Luso Football Club located at Av.
