Political backbiting continues on the issue of the multi-million bonus that may be due to the CEO of TAP in 2025. Minister for Infrastructures João Galamba stressed over the weekend that the bonus will only be paid if the airline’s restructuring plan is “carried out entirely”, criticising the minority Bloco de Esquerda for making such political capital out of it, and seemingly encouraging the government to ‘renege’ on a contract. BE “completely misunderstands” the situation of TAP, Galamba told reporters.
