Silves based child protection charity, Castelo dos Sonhos, is appealing for backpack donations to ensure children in need are able to return back to school with equipment essential to learning.
There is still time to participate in the annual drive, which will continue until September 6.
New or used backpacks in suitable conditions can be delivered to the Castelo dos Sonhos charity shop in Silves, the Holiday Inn Algarve in Armação de Pêra or The Golf Shack / Absolute Zero stores at Vale de Lousas Retail Park near Alcantarilha.
