Baby shot by elder brother

This long-weekend’s news has sadly involved a lot of tragedies with babies. This particular horror did not thankfully prove fatal. A seven-year-old boy, the son of a GNR agent, is understood to have taken advantage of finding his father’s loaded gun in a drawer to shoot at his father who was holding his very much younger brother while sitting on a sofa. The father managed to drive the injured baby, in the company of the older child, to the nearest hospital – and the little boy’s life was not in any danger. The injury was to his shoulder and the baby has since been discharged from hospital. Child protection services and the PJ are now ‘investigating’, to see what action, if any, needs to be taken.
