The awards, which are presented in association with Bloomberg Television, were announced during a gala dinner held at the Park Lane Hotel in London on September 24.
The Dunas Douradas Beach Club beat off stiff competition to take the top spot in the Best Development Europe category while it was also highly commended in the category for Best Interior Design.
A panel of judges, which included the editor in chief of International Homes Luxury Collection magazine and the chief executive of the National Federation of Property Professionals, considered the resort planning, architecture, facilities and services of Dunas Douradas and the beach club will now compete against other companies in the World’s Best categories later this year.
Evy Ougendal, the CEO of Dunas Douradas Beach Club, said: “This achievement is one of the most important recognitions we could ever expect and are proud not only of the project but also for the Algarve with whom we share this recognition.”
