NATIONAL Geographic Travel magazine rates the Algarve as being a bad choice of destination for holidaymakers, in a study that’s been published in the most recent issue of the English edition of the magazine. The six criteria that destinations were judged against included environment and ecological quality, social and cultural integration, conservation of historical buildings and the existence of archaeological sites, organisational quality of tourism, vision for the future and attractive appearance. According to the researchers behind the study, the Algarve fails to impress and readers are encouraged to seek out other destinations for their holidays. What do you think about this?
