Average age of passenger vehicles on Portuguese roads is 13.5 years

The average age of light passenger vehicles in Portugal at the end of last year was 13.5 years, according to a report by ACAP – the Portuguese Automobile Association, representing a slight increase from 13.2 years in 2020. In a statistical report released on Monday, the association revealed that on December 31, the light passenger vehicle market was composed of 5,410,000 vehicles, with an average age of 13.5 years. Of this total, 1,353,908, or 25%, were over 20 years old.
