Several training camps for children and adults are planned for the autumn season at The Campus, Quinta do Lago’s sports complex.
From a multi-sport camp for children including fitness activities, rugby and football to a dance camp with professional dancer Lauren Jamieson, organisers say there is “something for everyone”.
The multi-sport camp is aimed at children from the ages of five to eight, with the first having started on Monday and lasting until Friday while the second will take place next week (October 28 – November 1).
Each participating child will receive a complimentary t-shirt, hat and healthy snack.
The dance camp will be held between October 28 and 31 (Monday to Thursday) and aims to “teach and inspire youngsters to dance with joy and confidence”.
It is open to youngsters aged eight to 16 who will learn “different dancing techniques and styles and will work together to learn a final choreography which will be presented to families and friends”. The camp welcomes experienced and non-experienced dancers.
Having already taken place when we went to press was a tennis camp for children and adults with British tennis coach Judy Murray, mother of Grand Slam champion Andy Murray.
