New culinary delights to discover at Quinta do Lago
Summer may have ended, but autumn has brought new flavours and gastronomic experiences to Quinta do Lago, the famous luxury resort in the Algarve.
The resort’s Gigi Bar has inaugurated its new Roof Top, offering a 360-degree panoramic view of the beach and Ria Formosa. It is described as “the ideal place to recharge after a walk, hydrate with a mocktail, and relax,” according to the resort. On October 28 and November 4, Gigi Bar will also offer live music.
But that’s not all. The resort’s iconic restaurant, Casa Velha, has a new Bites Menu, available every day from 5pm.
“This incredible tapas menu includes numerous options, and you have plenty to choose from, such as soya and vegetable balls made with homemade vegan cream cheese and fried capers; Atlantic cured codfish croquette, Trás-os-Montes alheira sausage, and toasted homemade bread ‘tiborna’ with chicken.
For groups, Casa Velha is also suggesting its Tasting Platter with a “rich selection of Portuguese cheeses” (as well as a vegetarian cheese option) and a selection of Portuguese black pig charcuterie, as well as a homemade pumpkin dip with homemade preserves to savour.
On Sundays, sports fan can enjoy “homely and delicious food” at Quinta do Lago’s Dano’s Sports Bar with the Sunday Roast, a three-course British classic. Customers can choose from one of the bar’s main courses for only €20 or opt for the complete menu for €30, with a different menu offered every Sunday.
Last but not least, a new breakfast service will be offered starting in November at Casa do Lago, popular for its lakeside view.
