The autopsy which had promised to shed light on the reasons for the death of healthy student Inês Rafael Mendes at a campsite in Vieira do Minho last weekend (click here) has come back ‘inconclusive’, reports Correio da Manhã this morning. PJ police had been working on the basis that 19-year-old Inês had been drinking to excess. Her family has refuted this saying Inês did not drink. The dead girl’s uncle links her death with the fact that five days previously she had been inoculated with a Covid vaccine. It is unclear if any further information will be forthcoming. Inês’ funeral took place in Valongo yesterday.
