Abducted girl speaks out
Natascha Kampusch made her first appearance on television to tell the world about her eight years in captivity. The 18-year-old appeared composed during her 40 minute interview. She told audiences how angry and alone she felt for so many years, adding, that if she had been forced to remain in her underground cell for the entire time, she would have gone crazy. She spoke about her fear of her captor, Wolfgang Priklopil, and how she dreamed of killing him. The chief editor of the television station that broadcast her interview said she was a strong girl.
