AUDIO BOOKS from UK-based Calibre Audio Library are now available for free to visually impaired people living in the Algarve.
Calibre Audio Library has over 7,000 fiction and non-fiction titles, with all books recorded unabridged by professional actors and broadcasters.
They are available on cassette or MP3 disk and are sent through the post free of charge. There are no fines for late or lost books and postage back to the UK is covered by the Articles for the Blind international concession.
The Calibre website, www.calibre.org.uk provides details of all services, including online access to the complete catalogue of audio books. Membership is open to British expatriates living in Portugal and application forms are available on the website.
