Almancil International Rotary Club (AIRC) will be holding an Auction of Promises on November 13 at Restaurant Jardim do Vale in aid of local charities.
The event, held from 8pm, is open to both Rotary Club members and non members and costs 20 Euros per person including a full meal.
Organiser Uschi Kuhn told the Algarve Resident: “We hope that this event will prove to be very popular. With more than 30 wonderful promises being donated to the auction, it should be a great success.”
She added: “We would like to donate most of the money, depending on how much we manage to raise, to the Loulé based associated for disabled people UNIR.
Promises in the auction include a balloon flight for one over the Algarve as donated by Uwe Heitkamp, a sightseeing tour of Tavira with lunch promised from Rui Horta, a weekend in Spain for two from Brian O’Neill and an afternoon of racing at Karting Almancil for six people as promised by Soren Hojberg.
