Auction House Algarve launches online bidding service

Auction House Algarve (AHA) has announced the launch of a new online bidding service that allows people from all over the world to take part in AHA’s auctions.

Mark Monkman, auctioneer and founder of AHA, says that this new service “allows the auction to be heard and followed in real time”, with clients being able to “participate and bid from the comfort of their own homes.”

He added that the service is “fantastic” for people wanting to “sell higher end and collectable items” and increases the chances of selling at higher prices.

Based on the EN2 road between Faro and Estoi, the British-style auction house holds a general auction on the first Saturday of each month.

The auctions include everything from furniture and art to ornaments and carpets. On average, over 500 lots are on offer. These items all start at €1 “with no gimmicks or reserves and are normally sold in the first 100 lots”.

This month’s first auction is a “general and clearance auction” and will take place at 10am on Saturday (March 7). The following auctions are scheduled for March 18 and 25.
Apart from the auctions, AHA is open on a daily basis for direct sale of second-hand goods.

Opening times are from 9.30am to 5.30pm from Tuesday to Friday and 9.30 to 4pm on Saturday.
