Three armed man tried to rob three different jewellers in São Brás de Alportel, Silves and Portimão, in the space of six hours on October 3.
In all three cases the attackers fled empty-handed due to the quick intervention of the police.
According to police, they are treating the incidents as being related as in all three two of the thieves entered the jewellery stores and threatened staff with weapons while an accomplice waited outside in the car.
The PJ Police are investigating.
