A record 210 million ATM transactions were registered last month in Portugal.
Data from SIBS – the company in charge of Portugal’s ATM (multibanco) system – shows that the huge number of transactions in July represent a 5% increase compared to a previous record set in December 2014.
There were also more consumers purchasing items with debit cards, with a total of 79 million purchases registered – a 13% increase compared to December.
