ATM figures down

ATM cash withdrawals in Portugal were down €224 million in December in comparison to the same month last year.

Payments made using debit cards also fell 6.6% in that month, according to data released by SIBS, the entity responsible for administering ATM machines in Portugal.

Between November 28 and December 25, cash withdrawals and payments using debit cards represented a total of around €5 billion, €224 million less than in the same period last year.
