Atlântida, the (infamous) ferryboat rejected by the government of Azores after its construction at the trouble-torn Viana do Castelo shipyards, has at last been sold for €8.75 million to the Douro Azul cruiseship company Mystic Cruises. It will now undergo a €6 million refit before going into service in Brazil. Meantime, the shipyard’s debt to the Azorean government has now been paid in full, reports Lusa news agency.
