Oceânico Victoria golf course in Vilamoura was in superb condition to host last month’s Atlantic Golf Society Pairs Day tournament. The honours went to the in-form Ian Simpson aided by Derek Toward, who edged both past Tony and Elaine Lopategui on countback, while the best guests were Albert Stretton and Carl Forrester.
Andy Willimott from the Atlantic Golf Society thanked the event’s sponsor Burrowhead Holiday Village and announced that the next society day will take place at Onyria Palmares on October 15, starting at 10am.
Tickets cost €75 for members and €85 non-members, including a buggy, coffee/breakfast on arrival, and chicken/chips at the presentation at 7.30pm in the Atlantic bar.
