The 2013 three-way tournament organised by Sporting Events Ltd partners Stefan Schwarz (ex Arsenal) and former Millwall player Brian Horne, involves top Austrian and Danish club sides Rapid Vienna and Silkeborg IF as well as Albanian league champions KF Skenderbeu.In addition, Viennese rivals SV Mattersburg and local third division promotion challengers Farense will provide ‘friendly’ opposition on alternating match days as detailed below.
On day one, Skenderbeu take on Silkeborg at 5pm followed by Farense v Rapid at 8pm. The following Monday, January 28, Silkeborg play Mattersburg at the same earlier time while the tournament match between Rapid and Skenderbeu again begins at 8pm. The concluding day’s play on Thursday, January 31 sees Skenderbeu face Mattersburg and Rapid take on Silkeborg at 5pm and 8pm respectively.
