An astronomical observation with Clive Jackson is taking place on Saturday, July 28, at Mesa do Cume Restaurant, Alcaria do Cume, Tavira, from 7pm.
Clive has helped to introduce astronomy in general and the Algarve night sky in particular to thousands of pupils of all ages from hundreds of schools.
He ran the Astronomical Observatory of Tavira for 15 years and for seven years has also been operating the Camera Obscura in Tavira.
On behalf of the Algarve History Association, Clive has volunteered to give a number of talks on astronomy, to lead astronomical observations and to host guided tours of astronomically significant sites.
