TWO MEN were arrested in Vilamoura last week on suspicion of violently assaulting and robbing a Brazilian woman, 26.
The woman was attacked at around 3am in Avenida da Marina de Vilamoura, sustaining severe bruising to one arm. The Brazilian’s bag was taken containing her passport, mobile phone and 200 euros in cash.
The victim reported the crime to the GNR unit in Vilamoura and was able to provide a good description of her attackers. The police were able to identify the men responsible and, within three hours, caught them in possession of the stolen items.
Both men are now due to appear at Loulé court.
