Thirty-five nests of the Asian predatory wasp were destroyed by civil protection teams in the Alto Minho region since the beginning of the year. In July alone, 10 nests were destroyed.
The authorities have confirmed that the number of nests of this predatory species, which is a threat to honey production, was expected due to the natural evolution of the species.
