ASAE hits the jackpot in southern business gaming bust

ASAE, the country’s health and safety authority, has scooped over €24,000-worth of goods and coins in a series of raids on various gaming businesses west of Lisbon and in the Algarve and Alentejo. Four people were arrested in the operation which went ahead between August 22 and 25; seven criminal processes launched and seven fines imposed. Ten gaming machines were also seized on the pretext that they were unlicensed.
