ASAE guidelines

Portugal’s tourism board and the national food hygiene and economic standards authority (ASAE) are working together to create inspection guidelines for tourist resorts.

These guidelines, which are due to be complete by the end of this year, will allow tourist establishments to know in advance the criteria used by ASAE inspectors.

The national tourism board hopes that as well as being involved in the process of creating the guide, businesses in the tourism sector will also benefit from it.
