Following on from the success of the International Art Fair in November, the date for the next art fair has been set for June 3 to 6 2010 and will take place at the Congress Centre at Pavilhão Arade near Ferragudo.
Since exhibiting at this year’s art fair, Algarve based artist Meinke Flesseman took part in a highly respected art event in Berlin, the BMW Adventskalender.
Along with 23 other artists from all over the world, she was selected to donate one of her paintings to children’s charity, SOS Homes for Children, who then sold the paintings to sponsoring companies.
This is the first time that an artist living in Portugal was chosen to donate a painting to the charity event.
