Art Napoleon in concert

Canadian singer/songwriter Art Napoleon, who is of Cree origins, will be performing at Lagoa’s Municipal Auditorium on April 27 at 9.30pm.

As a self-proclaimed “born entertainer”, he says: “I can embody the shaman archetype to cast a spell on the gathered.”

He has served as Chief and council member of his nation in northeast British Columbia and is also a published educational and cultural book writer who has been active in the Aboriginal healing and wellness movement.

Art Napoleon is also fluent in the Y dialect of Western Cree using his linguistic skills to teach, translate and transcribe in various language projects.

“Whether I am telling a story or singing about a life of intriguing and mystical experiences and characters, I manage to be both irreverent and deeply spiritual,” he says.

Tickets cost €8 (children under 12 go free) and are available at the Lagoa Auditorium, which is open from 10.30am to 2pm and 3.30pm to 7pm.
