Arsonist crackdown: 803 suspects are under investigation

This year, 803 suspects have been identified in Portugal in relation to fires, which are being investigated, and the GNR and PJ police forces have made 90 arrests, minister for internal affairs José Luís Carneiro has said today. He guaranteed that the PJ judicial police and GNR are “in the process of investigating these 803 suspects”, stressing that the PJ has “in recent months, arrested a further 33 suspected arsonists”.
