A total of 32 health professionals will soon be hired for São Brás de Alportel’s Centre of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, said a source from regional health authority.
The move will allow the centre to reopen its out-patient service and bring the bed count back up to 54.
The announcement follows speculation that the south of Portugal’s only state-run physiotherapy centre was suffering from “deteriorating human and technical resources”.
