There were at least 25 arrests today as around 100 young people took part in the “In flames: mass action for civil disobedience” event called by ‘anti-capitalist collective’ Climáximo to push for “a reduction in air traffic, more railways and a just transition” to sustainable energies. Comments by protestors explained that the world has just nine years to reduce emissions before climate change becomes untenable, “yet no one is cutting emissions, they are simply increasing them” (click here).
