Around the world

An Australian runner has become the fastest person to travel across the world on foot after a 20-month long journey spanning 16,200km. According to media reports, the 52-year-old man, Tom Denniss, ran the equivalent of a daily marathon for 622 days. His journey began and ended at the Sydney Opera House, in Australia. “I never thought of giving up and I feel stronger now than when I started,” Denniss said.
