In the absence of any concrete measures for discotheques, the sector’s association president João Gouveia has admitted “around 60% of the businesses have already gone bust. If the government insists on this line of closure, by the end of the summer another 30% will have folded”. He also stressed that in spite of economy minister Pedro Siza Vieira saying that State support will be extended to businesses prevented from operating, discos are still waiting to hear the details.
