Staff and customers at Lidl’s outlet in Fermentões, Guimarães, cowered in panic on Monday morning when three armed men burst in, demanding money from the tills. The men, all brandishing shotguns and wearing scarves over their faces, made off in a white Opel Corsa once operatives handed over the cash. This was the third raid of its kind on supermarkets in the region in the last two weeks.
