AN EXPERIENCED Portuguese diver and marine archaeologist will give two talks on the Santo António de Tanna, a late 17th century sailing vessel, at the Algarve Archaeology Society meetings on Tuesday, May 6.

Tiago Fraga is the project manager for the Underwater Cultural Heritage Survey of Lagos Câmara and has studied history at the Universities of Lisbon and Faro as well as obtaining a Master of Arts in Anthropology at the University of Texas. 

The first of these two meetings will be held at the Junta de Freguesia de São Sebastião in Loulé from 2.30pm and the second at the Convento da São José in Lagoa from 6.30 pm.

Everyone is welcome to attend either lecture, which will be in English. Tickets costs five euros for non-members.
