Appeal fund for Gonçalo Amaral

Dear Editor,
Your story on fund raising for the former PJ inspector (last week’s edition) does not surprise me and neither does the failure to see the damage he caused; there is no evidence of the McCanns being involved. Their only fault was believing their daughter was safe in a resort. Of course, those who attack the McCanns never make mistakes!

If money is to be raised, there are better deserving charities and with today’s news of another earthquake in Nepal, there is one real cause. Or nearer to home, those badly hit by poverty, many working but still relying on food banks. Badly hit are children, in UK or here.
