A gang police believe is behind 25 ATM thefts in the Algarve and Alentejo struck again on the morning of October 5 in the tourist resort area of Galé, Albufeira.
An ATM at the Apolónia supermarket was stolen in a raid that lasted less than two minutes.
The robbery occurred at about 1.30am and the procedure was similar to previous incidents, although on this occasion they fired a shotgun at the CCTV cameras.
The gang escaped in a Toyota truck with the ATM after it had been removed from the interior of the supermarket with the help of a stolen JCB digger.
GNR police arrived a few minutes later but the gang escaped. PJ police are now investigating this latest raid.
