FORMER Faro Câmara President, José Vitorino, from the Social Democrats Party PSD, has announced that he will be running against current President José Apolinário in the 2009 elections.
The opposition party members have had their fair share of public disputes since Apolinário, from the Socialist Party PS, took office after there were less than 1,000 votes between the candidates in the 2005 elections. There have been countless verbal attacks by both parties, who blame the other for Faro Câmara’s current financial crisis.
