“Due to the lack of fundraising events this year”, the Algarve animal protection association APAA has had Christmas cards (by Gill Goode) and calendars (by Jackie Billings) designed, which are now sale in their charity shops in Alvor and Silves.
And on Wednesdays, between 10am and 12 noon at the Bacchus Bar (adjoining Porches Pottery), all are invited to go along for coffee (safely and at a distance!) and take a look at APAA’s Christmas wares.
Calendars are also available at the following vets: Ferral Vet at Espiche; Guia Vet at Alcantarilha; Lagoa Vet in Lagoa; Pet Vet in Lagos; and Vet Parchal.
Also available are dog and cat stockings, knitted cat/dog blankets, preserves with Christmas caps on, packs of shortbread and other gift items.
