An anonymous donation of €1,200 was given to Quinta da Fonte do Bispo hotel in Santa Catarina, Tavira, to then be presented to the Algarve Oncology Association (AOA).
The money was donated to help fund the building of the Casa Flor das Dunas, a hostel that will provide housing for patients undergoing cancer treatment in Faro.
The project is estimated to cost €1 million to complete while the land has already been donated by Faro Câmara.
