Anti-tobacco lobby “indignant” over watered-down changes to tobacco law

The Portuguese Society of Pneumology has registered “strong indignation” today over the watered-down changes to the tobacco law, calling the result “yet another victory for the tobacco industry”. Initially, PS Socialists planned to reduce sales outlets for all kinds of tobacco, but the outcry was such that very little, in the end, has changed beyond ensuring that electronic cigarettes are treated in the same way as traditional cigarettes.
