Anti-Islamic march musters around 200 supporters

Far right sympathisers, refused permission to protest in the Mouraria-Martim Moniz areas yesterday, held a small protest instead in Largo de Camões, waving banners and being, says Lusa, “critical of the government”. Slogans held aloft read “Stop Islam” and “Portugal for the Portuguese” – but protestors were heckled by passers by and markedly reduced in number to those who took part in the anti-racism march a few hours earlier.
